Reverse Shrimp

This tie comes in many names, and is one of the 'classics' that have been around the shibari world in Japan.

Once a gote/takatekote (後手/高手小手) is in place, all you need to do is lifting the ankles up one leg at a time behind the back.

Or so it seems!

In fact, the gyaku-ebi suspension (逆海老吊り) is one of the most difficult to do safely. It carries a high risk of upper-arm nerve damage leading to drop hands. Horror stories abound about injuries. Not to mention any lower-back discomfort and in-flight agony when done by inexperienced and unskilled 'riggers'.

The Finer Points

Under the expert guidance of kinbaku grandmaster Yagami Ren (鵺神蓮) sensei we are treated to a masterclass on the finer points of this suspension technique.

As usual, this state-of-the-art workshop comes with expert English simultaneous interpretation and is recorded in highest quality.

Check out the 'teaser clip' of the performance part below, then elevate your kinbaku skills to the next level, and enroll.
